Pediatrics
Pediatric calls make up less than 10% of all EMS callouts — yet they rank among the most stressful for paramedics. Low frequency leads to skill decay, anatomical and physiological differences change every procedure and dose, and the psychological burden is higher than with any other call type. This series systematically covers everything an RZP paramedic needs to know: pediatric-specific considerations for prehospital practice, the Broselow system and drug dosing, management of febrile seizures and respiratory distress (croup, epiglottitis, bronchiolitis), pediatric CPR per ERC 2021, intraosseous access, and neonatal resuscitation — all in line with Slovak legislation and the RZP LSE formulary.
